I just caught up on Heather's posts. It is hard to post anything after her inspiration, but here it is. I have for a while wanted to make my own sushi. I wanted to control what went into it. So I went online, found recipes and watched how-to videos on you tube. I took my grocery list to a Global Market. We have a few around here, everything is fairly cheep, a lot less than the average store. However here is the kicker, I couldn't read any of the labels and I couldn't find what I need. So after wondering the rice isle for 25 min. I asked for help, but the help speaks Spanish, so he finds the manager and the manager helps me find all the odd ingredients. They have full isles with bags and bags of rice, who knew there were so many varieties. For my brothers who served his mission in Spain, Germany and Chile, if you want me to find something you had on your mission but can't find it let me know and I might be able to get it for you. Anyway, our family had a great time making them, each child selected the veggies they wanted and made their own roll. My husband likes the rice on the outside so he rolled his differently. It was one of those meals the kids will never forget. It was a bit messy and they didn't eat them but fun all the same. Give it a try!
